Production Engineer

Job Title: Production Engineer

Salary: £40,000–£50,000

Location: Glasgow

Key Responsibilities

• Support and optimise production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and output
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and manufacturing costs
• Provide technical support to production teams and assist with troubleshooting manufacturing issues
• Monitor production performance and analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure smooth production flow
• Assist with the introduction of new products, equipment, and manufacturing processes
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and operational standards

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a Production Engineer or similar manufacturing engineering role
• Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing principles
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Engineering degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification preferred
