Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer required for Craigavon / Portadown area

Reed Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established and growing food manufacturing business based in the Craigavon area. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking two Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join their engineering team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers who are confident working across both mechanical and electrical disciplines within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
- Maintain and support a range of automated and semi-automated equipment
- Work closely with production teams to ensure maximum machine efficiency
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and food hygiene standards
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
Essential Skills & Experience
- Recognised mechanical and electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills (control panels, motors, sensors, inverters)
- Solid mechanical maintenance experience (conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics)
- Experience with PPM systems and breakdown maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG
- Awareness of GMP, HACCP, and hygiene standards
- PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens / Allen Bradley preferred)
- Experience with packaging machinery or automated production lines
