As a Design Manager, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, leading the design and development of bespoke machinery. Your role will involve:
Heading up a small but growing team of Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineers
Utilising 3D software (SolidWorks and Solid CAM) to create and refine custom machinery designs.
Building and troubleshooting pneumatic control circuits, ensuring top-notch performance.
Collaborating closely with the shop floor, suppliers, and customers to bring your designs to life.
Preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs), User Manuals, and other essential technical documentation.
The candidate: -
You’re someone with a solid background in moving parts machinery, whether it’s hydraulic, pneumatic, or electric motor systems. You have strong experience with 3D modelling software and enjoy working on innovative, challenging projects. Your hands-on approach and ability to collaborate across departments will be key to your success.
