Full Stack Engineer | YC-backed Healthcare AI | Seed Stage | London
£70,000 to £90,000 + 2% equity (worth $400K at current valuation)
Most engineers at your level are shipping good work inside a team where the CTO seat is years away, if it ever opens at all. This is the opposite of that.
Techmunity is running an exclusive search for a Full Stack Engineer at a seed stage YC company building the AI intelligence layer for the global healthcare commercial ecosystem.
You'll be engineer #five. The founding team is non-technical, so the path to CTO is open, uncontested, and closer than you think.
The short-term reality is hands-on. You'll be writing code every day, shipping product into one of the highest-value enterprise markets in the world, and owning surfaces end to end. That's the job for the next 12 to 18 months. But the bigger seat is there for the engineer who earns it.
The company
Pharma, biotech, and MedTech companies spend over $70 billion a year engaging doctors and researchers, and most of it runs on slow, manual, fragmented processes. Their platform replaces the consultants, recruiters, and disconnected systems pharma currently strings together.
Already on track for £1M ARR in their first year, $2M raised, further raise coming soon, and currently closing one of the three biggest pharma companies in the world as a client.
The team
The founders are early-career operators with serious output already. Top US university backgrounds, prior work pioneering automation inside a Big Four firm, published HCI research, and AI strategy training at a leading US business school between them.
Their founding engineer came from a hyperscaler data engineering team and one of the most respected corporate GenAI labs. He owns the data and infrastructure backbone of the product.
You'll work alongside him. He brings the technical depth on data and infra, you bring the product instinct and the shipping pace. Together, you take them from technically excellent to commercially essential.
What they're looking for
- Expert at wielding modern AI tooling. Claude Code, Cursor, agentic workflows in production. This is the number one filter.
- 3-5 years of engineering experience inside startups that shipped to enterprise customers.
- High energy and genuinely ambitious. The founders operate at American startup intensity and want someone who matches it. If you see a future CTO seat at a well-funded YC company as the opportunity it is, you'll fit immediately.
- You thrive in an office with people around you, not despite it.
- You say "I built" not "I contributed to."
The stack
Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, Next.js, Azure, MongoDB, LLMs, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines.
Syntax matters less than what you've shipped. Strong AI tooling fluency lets you pick up new surface areas quickly.
Package
£70,000 to £90,000 base depending on experience. 2% equity at a $20M valuation, repricing imminent as the next raise closes. Onsite in Hammersmith. Visa sponsorship available.
