Site Engineer

Carmichael UK are working with a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a major highways project in Gloucestershire.

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery across key earthworks, drainage and landscaping packages on a high-profile scheme.

• Setting out and surveying across earthworks, drainage and landscaping works
• Supporting delivery of bulk earthworks (cut & fill, embankments, formation)
• Assisting with drainage installations including culverts and attenuation systems
• Supporting landscaping and environmental works packages
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with designs, specifications and programme
• Managing QA documentation, ITPs and as-built records
• Liaising with subcontractors and site teams to support smooth delivery

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or major infrastructure projects
• Strong experience in earthworks, drainage and/or landscaping packages
• Competent in setting out using Total Station / GPS (Trimble or Leica)
• Knowledge of QA processes, site documentation and engineering standards
• Experience working within Tier 1 contractor environments preferred
• CSCS card and relevant qualifications
• Right to work in the UK
