🚨 Financial Controller | Renewable Energy | London ⚡🌱
We’re partnering with a rapidly growing international renewable energy business to appoint a Financial controller to support the continued expansion of its UK operations.
This is a broad and commercially focused role, offering exposure across financial reporting, planning & analysis, cash flow management, tax, and business partnering within a high-growth, project-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
📊 Financial Reporting & Accounting
• Prepare management accounts and support statutory reporting processes
• Assist with group consolidation and financial reporting activities
• Ensure accounting records are maintained in line with relevant reporting standards
• Support technical accounting and IFRS-related matters
📈 Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Produce insightful management reporting and financial analysis
• Support strategic decision-making through robust financial information
💰 Treasury & Cash Flow Management
• Manage and optimise cash flow across multiple entities
• Oversee banking relationships and day-to-day treasury operations
• Manage intercompany transactions, transfer pricing arrangements, and financing structures
• Support funding activities and liquidity planning
🧾 Tax & Compliance
• Oversee VAT and tax compliance activities
• Coordinate with external advisors on tax-related matters
• Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies, incentives, and grants
🔍 Audit & Controls
• Support internal control frameworks and governance processes
• Coordinate year-end audit activities and external audit relationships
• Drive continuous improvements across finance processes and controls
About You
✔️ ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
✔️ Strong academic background
✔️ Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, investment management, asset management, or a similar sector
✔️ Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills
✔️ Experience managing treasury, banking relationships, and cash flow
✔️ Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
✔️ Additional European language skills are advantageous but not essential
