Design Engineer

My client is a well established manufacturing business located in Norfolk. A global leader within their sector, they are looking for a design engineer to join their existing team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual, a varied engineering role focusing on the development of new and existing products.

The role will involve;

• Prototype design and build
• 3D CAD
• Looking at existing products and processes to reduce cost
• Material analysis and cost reductions
• Looking at test results and reducing warranty failures
• Liaising with all departments to communicate findings and improvements
• Engineering projects to drive change and improve processes
• Identifying commercial opportunities for new products

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas;

• Time served experience of product design to manufacture
• Engineering Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline
• Project management experience
• Continuous improvement knowledge
