Location: Birmingham
Salary: £50,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, global manufacturing business within a highly regulated industrial environment.

This role is ideal for an engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience, looking to develop their career within a major brand offering long-term stability and progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime
  • Maintain and troubleshoot industrial systems including steam, water, and associated utilities
  • Support the continuous operation of manufacturing processes in a high-performance production environment
  • Conduct equipment inspections and ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and improvement of new and existing equipment
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to drive reliability and efficiency improvements
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
  • Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of steam systems, water systems, and industrial utilities
  • Proven ability in fault finding and problem solving
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent)
