Heres more about the role and what were looking for: We are looking for a skilled and reliable Painter to join our Estates and Facilities team, supporting the upkeep and presentation of our diverse university buildings and spaces. Our Estates teams play a vital role in maintaining a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment for students, staff and visitors. Working across campus, you will contribute directly to preserving the high standards expected of a leading university. As a key member of the team, you will: Carry out painting and decorating works across academic, residential and commercial spaces Prepare surfaces professionally to ensure high-quality finishes Work safely and efficiently in occupied environments Support planned maintenance programmes and reactive works Take pride in delivering work that enhances the Universitys appearance and reputation Key Requirements: Experience in painting, decorating and related maintenance works Ability to estimate labour, materials and contractor support Experience allocating, supervising and checking work to ensure high standards Willingness to learn new equipment, systems and undertake training Strong understanding of Health & Safety, including safe working practices Ability to identify and report unsafe or defective equipment Competent in using systems such as ARCHIBUS to maintain accurate records Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a wider team Why should you apply?
